This stock medical exhibit shows an unstable comminuted trimalleolar left ankle fracture with surgical fxation in a series of illustrations. The third illustration shows fixation of the posterior tibial fragment through an anterior stab incision. Placement of a plate and screws for fibular fixation through a lateral incision are indicated. The fourth illustration shows fixation of the medial tibia with lag screws through a medial incision. The fifth and sixth illustrations show the post-operative condition, including the hardware in place as seen in anterior and medial views of the bones of the lower leg and foot.
"I thought you might want to know that after we sent a copy of your
illustration to the defendants, with a copy to
the insurance company, they increased their offer by an additional million
dollars and the case was settled for $1,900,000.00.
I appreciate your help!"

"Medical illustrations are essential evidence in personal injury litigation and MLA is simply the best I've found at producing high-quality illustrations. Your illustrators are not only first-class artists, but creative and responsive. Your turn around time is as good as it gets. My clients have won over $60 million in jury verdicts and I can't recall a case which did not include one of your exhibits. On behalf of those clients, thanks and keep up the great work!"
"[Your staff] was extremely efficient, cooperative and gracious and [their]
efforts produced a demonstrative exhibit that we used effectively throughout
our trial. The jury verdict of $3,165,000.00 was, in no small measure, due
to the impact of the demonstrative evidence. You may be sure that we will

"This past year, your company prepared three medical illustrations for our cases; two in which we received six figure awards; one in which we received a substantial seven figure award. I believe in large part, the amounts obtained were due to the vivid illustrations of my clients' injuries and the impact on the finder of fact."
