Left Shoulder Injuries with Arthroscopic and Open Repairs - Medical Illustration, Human Anatomy Drawing

This medical exhibit features two views of the left shoulder, one anterior (front) view and one posterior (back) view revealing the skeletal anatomy in this region and revealing all of the various injuries. The anterior view reveals the large full thickness tear of the supraspinatus tendon, the anterior labral tears, the acromioclavicular arthritis and the subacromial impingement. The posterior view illustrates the infraspinatus tendon tear. Also, the key steps of the surgical procedure including the insertion of the arthroscopic instruments, the arthroscopic repair of the anterior labral tears and the decompression of the subacromial space, as well as the creation of the open incision and the open repair of the rotator cuff tears are illustrated.
