Right Ankle Fractures with Surgical Fixation - Medical Illustration, Human Anatomy Drawing

This stock medical exhibit depicts right ankle fractures and the subsequent surgical fixation. The first images are artist's interpretations of pre-operative X-rays which clearly show anterior and lateral views of the trimalleolar fracture. The next three images show multiple steps of the surgical fixation procedure, including the incision and reduction of the fracture and placement of fixation plates and screws. The final image is an artist's interpretation of a post-operative X-ray which clearly shows the reduced fractures and the hardware in place.
