This stock medical exhibit portrays left tibial and fibular fractures with surgical placement of an intramedullary rod and screws in a series of illustrations. The first illustration shows the pre-operative fractures, including a left tibial plateau fracture and a Grade III open tibiofibular fracture. The second illustration is a radiograph with illustrative enhancement showing the placement of cannulated screws, locking screws and an intramedullary nail in the bones of the lower left leg.
